the angles are good in the 6.5" setting, and in the 5" with a flush headset. 5" with a big headset and the totem is a bit too slack for me. the bike is quite front-heavy but not excessively and i got used to it really quick. most people prefer the 5" setting on the WC but at the moment with the Totem I am still leaning towards the 6.5" setting. it's burly enough for downhill but I would recommend a Scythe for that. I saw one built up with a Totem the other day in a size small and had a quick pedal....much plusher and more active than the wildcard but still compact and fast. |

they're very different bikes. i was at feeborn today and a kid was picking up his size 's' Scythe. that's more of a competitor for the Sx Trail I think. felt bloody good in the car park test anyway. lol. |

it had Fox36s before...and rides so much better on the Totems it's not funny. depends what you ride i guess....i like a slack head angle and a big fork. i do trails and DH on the bike as well and am taking it to France, but wanted a small 5-6" bike that would take the hits and feel fast. zero stack headset means the front end isn't that high either..... to me, it feels perfect now. ;-) |
